NYPD seeks man who shot four boys in Brooklyn last week

Police are on the lookout for a man who allegedly shot four boys in Brooklyn on Friday about 7:30 p.m.

Newly released surveillance footage shows the unidentified gunman on foot near where police say he chased after the four young men eastbound on South Second Street toward Havemeyer Street in South Williamsburg.

Cops said all four victims, who ranged between 12 and 17 years old, were shot in the leg. Three were taken to Bellevue Hospital and the fourth to Kings County Hospital. Authorities said all are in stable condition.

Video of the suspect shows him wearing an orange or red sweater with his weapon drawn moments before he began firing. Police describe him as a black male, about 20 year old.

Investigators ask that anyone with information about this incident to call the department’s Crime Stoppers hotline at 800-577-TIPS, or tosubmit tips online.
