On Sunday, BBC announced that Jodie Whittaker would play the role of the 13th doctor on “Doctor Who.” And even though people are mostly excited, there are some misogynists out there that are mad that the Doctor — who by the way is an alien and probably not gendered the same way humans on Earth are — is a lady. Because like, what if she just menstruates everywhere! Or worse, is a feminist! Will our collective minds explode at seeing like, a little bit of equality on screen!?
Anyway, I’d like to focus on the people who embraced the announcement and had sarcastic responses, because really, why would you be mad about it unless you’re a horrible person?

Whittaker, a “Broadchurch” alum, is the first woman to play the Doctor in the show’s more than 50-year-history. And I’m pretty sure she’ll do just fine playing a fictional alien being going on adventures and stuff.
But also? Call me up with they have a non-white Doctor and we can talk.
