A massive water main break shut down the subway and flooded buildings on the Upper West Side this morning.
The water main break occurred just before 11 a.m. at West 106th Street and Central Park West. The basements of nearby buildings were flooded with water, residents there tell Metro.
The MTA shut down the West 110th Street subway station on the B and C as the tracks were under water. The MTA also suspended B and C service between West 50th Street and 125th Street due to the flooding.
