Photographer Stephen Wilkes has been photographing New York City’s landmarks for years, for hours at a time.
The Flatiron building, Central Park, and Time Square have all been given his signature time-lapse treatment, and the resulting images are part of the “Day to Night” exhibition at the ClampArt Gallery this month.
To create one image, he must stay in one place for as many as 15 hours and then blend thirty to fifty individual photographs together to create his collages.
Dozens of prints are priced from $3,500 for a small photograph to $30,000 for a large one.
