Artist Ralph Steadman, subject of the new Johnny Depp documentary “For No Good Reason,” is best known for his work with late gonzo journalist Hunter S. Thompson.

In anticipation of the film, which opens Friday, a pop-up exhibition of Steadman’s featured work will be on display at Red Bull Studios. Visitors can see the illustrations for free and attend an after party on Friday.

Steadman, 77, illustrated “Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas” and continues to work daily.

“For No Good Reason” features Steadman along with Depp, his good friend, over the course of 15 years and includes interviews with Rolling Stone founder Jann Wenner and even Thompson, before he shot himself dead in 2005. The documentary follows Steadman as he explains his career and work.

Though the exhibition will only run through Friday evening, you can see a slideshow of a few of Steadman’s pieces from the film above.
