Planes hit birds two days in a row at JFK

Two JetBlue planes returned to JFK after hitting birds in the same number of days this weekend, a Port Authority spokesman confirmed today.

A JetBlue flight reportedly hit a bird after takeoff yesterday, landing again in an abundance of caution, officials said.

“It was not a direct hit,” a JetBlue spokeswoman told the Daily News.

The day before, a pilot said a bird hit his plane on the nose.

Both flights were headed to the Caribbean.
