City cops believe they’ve nabbed a serial robber yesterday who held up a number of banks in Edmonton this month.
Tactical officers made the arrest sometime around 2:45 a.m. after an investigation led them to an area near 116 Avenue and 94 Street where the suspect was spotted in a stolen Pontiac G5, police said.
During the high-risk vehicle stop, the suspect tried to break away, causing damage to a nearby parked car before he was taken into custody, police said.
Police accuse the suspect of robbing seven financial institutions since Jan. 9 with the most recent robbery occurring near 129 Street and Manning Crossing Jan. 21. Charges are pending against 41-year-old Glenn Garry Fraser.
