Police offer $2.5K reward to find person responsible for severely injuring dog found in the Bronx

The NYPD is trying to find the person responsible for the abuse of a dog found earlier this month in the Bronx with severe injuries.

On June 2 at about 6 p.m. police found a brown male boxer on the street near East 144th Street and St. Ann’s Avenue, according to authorities.

The dog was found with severe open wounds and third-degree burns covering its back, police said.

Police transported the dog to the ASPCA for treatment.

Authorities are offering a reward of up to $2,500 for any information leading to the arrest of whoever is responsible for this case of animal cruelty.
