Police are investigating a reported sexual assault that allegedly occurred near Lees Avenue on the north side of Highway 417 early Friday.
At approximately 3 a.m., a woman in her early 20s was walking in the area of Hurdman Road and Robinson Avenue when a male armed with a knife grabbed her, dragged her into the bushes and sexually assaulted her, police said.
The male subsequently fled the scene in an unknown direction.
The suspect is described as an English-speaking black male with a muscular build, black hair, possibly wearing a hoodie.
