Police are reportedly searching for the drug dealer who sold heroin to actor Philip Seymour Hoffman before he died from an apparent drug overdose on Sunday.

A law enforcement source told the New York Post that an internal email was sent to supervisors asking if anyone is familiar with the brand of drugs found in Hoffman’s Greenwich Village apartment. The email asked if they had dealt with heroin marked “Ace of Spades” or “Ace of Hearts.”

Police found 70 bags of drug with those labels inside the actor’s home, the Post reported.

Hoffman was found inside his Bethune Street apartment shortly before noon with a needle stuck in his arm. The 46-year-old actor was unconscious on his bathroom floor, police said. EMS workers pronounced him dead at the scene.

The medical examiner’s office is expected to conduct an autopsy today.
