Police believe the same suspect may be responsible for two separate incidents involving lewd sexual behaviour toward teenage girls in the city’s northwest.
On Monday at 8 a.m., a 14-year-old girl was waiting for the bus at Dalhart Road and Dalhurst Way NW when a man approached her, grabbed her buttocks and made sexually suggestive comments.
The first incident occurred last Friday while a 15-year-old girl waited for a bus near Dalhart Road and 53rd Street NW just before 11 a.m., when a man exposed his genitals to the girl and began touching himself while making lewd comments.
Det. Asif Rashid said police are concerned about the escalation of the incidents and believe it could happen again.
In both cases, the man fled when Calgary Transit pulled up.
