Police seek train masher

Surrey police are asking for help finding a man believed to be have assaulted two women outside the King George SkyTrain station.

The first victim, an 18-year-old girl, was grabbed from behind and pushed against a wall while walking along the 9900 block of 138 Street Monday night, said RCMP Sgt. Peter Thiessen.

She managed to fight off the man, who ran toward the SkyTrain station.

“She was not injured and nothing was taken from her,” Thiessen said.

A short time later, south of King George station, a 57-year-old woman was attacked in a similar manner and sexually assaulted.

“She was successful in fending off the attacker and suffered minor injuries,” said Thiessen.

RCMP say there’s no reason to believe the incidents are connected to the assault and subsequent death of a teenager in a Delta park last weekend.
