Popo Murigande has been playing at Bluesfest since the beginning of the festival and since then, has watched it grow.
“I’m thankful that we have a music festival where we can express our art to the city,” said the award-winning artist known as The Mighty Popo.
Murigande is bringing his music, which celebrates Rwandan music dating back to the 16th to 19th century, to the free Pop Life Stage in the ByWard Market this Friday.
“Every time I have an opportunity to bring music to the people, I’m thankful for it, he said.
