Location: The edge of Old City, between Sixth and Eighth streets and between Race and Vine.
Claim to fame: The carousel; the Philly-themed minigolf; and the “Storytelling Benches,” where storytellers share tales of the city’s past.
What’s to love: “The park is one of the most beautifully manicured in Philadelphia,” says Kristin Colby, condo association president at the MetroClub condos, located across the street from the square. Our community is full of dog owners who take full advantage of the morning tranquility in the park. But hands down the favorite feature is SquareBurger and their cake shakes!”
On the market: Depending on which side of the park you pick, you’re looking at pricey Old City options or cheaper Chinatown apartments. Rent for a one-bedroom at MetroClub starts above $1,700.
