A man wanted in connection to his girlfriend’s murder after her decomposing body was found in the trunk of a car on a Queens street last week has been apprehended in Virginia, police announced Friday.

Cops discovered the body of 28-year-old Angie Escobar at about 8:30 p.m. on Sept. 10 after receiving a call of a suspicious vehicle parked near 22nd Avenue and Murray Street in Whitestone, authorities said. A “foul odor” emanating from the trunk led them to the body, which had stab wounds to the torso.
