If you’ve left the house at all this summer, then you’ve been to at least one bar or restaurant with a beer cocktail on the menu. That’s right, mixing your drinks is actually a very popular trend this summer —and not just as a whiskey shot and pint chaser, or a Corona floater on your frozen margarita (looking at you, Blockhead’s). The Pamplemousse Shandy from Pod @ Pod
Pamplemousse Shandy
Ingredients:
.5 oz. Aperol
.5 oz. lime juice
.5 oz. tequila
.5 oz. Shofferhofer Grapefruit Hefeweizen
Instructions:
Mix non-carbonated ingredients together, pour them into a pint glass and top it all off with the Hefeweizen. Add candied grapefruit as a garnish.

Ingredients:
1.5 oz. Hendrick’s Gin
.5 oz. fresh lemon juice
.25 oz. simple syrup
2 dashes Peychaud’s bitters
Boddington’s Pale Ale
Instructions:
Fill highball glass with ice. Add all non-carbonated ingredients. Top with Boddington’s Pub Ale. Garnish with an orange twist.
The Beer Spiked Margarita from Pod @ Pod
Beer Spiked Margarita
Ingredients:
1.5 oz. Casamigos Reposado tequila
.5 oz. fresh-squeezed lime juice
.5 oz. fresh-squeezed orange juice
.5 oz. Grand Marnier
Instructions:
Shake the non-carbonated ingredients together. Strain them into a chilled pint glass with ice. Fill to the top with Modelo Especial. Add a lime wedge garnish.

Ingredients:
2 oz. fresh-pressedwatermelonjuice
1.25 oz.Casamigos Blanco
.5 oz. fresh lime juice
.5 oz. simple syrup
2 oz. Alagash Hefeweizen
Instructions:
Shake all ingredients together except the Hefeweizen, pour into chilled brandy snifter, add Hefeweizen and garnish with a mint leaf.

Ingredients:
1 oz. Crop Cucumber
1 oz. coconut water
.75 oz. lime juice
.5 oz. simple syrup
3 oz. Modelo lager
Instructions:
Shake non-carbonated ingredients with ice.Strain into a highball glass with fresh ice. Topwith Modelo, add a cucumber wheel garnish and a straw.
The Glasgow Shandy from LCL Bar & Kitchen
Glasgow Shandy
Ingredients:
1 oz. Monkey Shoulder scotch
.5 oz. lemon juice
.25 oz. simple syrup
2 dash Angostura bitters
4 oz. Kelso Pale Ale
2 oz. Sprite
Instructions:
Shake non-carbonated ingredients with ice. Strain them into pint glass with fresh ice. Top with Kelso and Sprite, and forgo a straw or garnish.
