The Patriots traded away the face of their offensive line Tuesday, in a stunning move that landed them a new tight end and a draft pick.

According to ESPN, the Pats dealt six-time Pro Bowl guard Logan Mankins to Tampa Bay in exchange for tight end Tim Wright and a fourth round draft pick.

The 32-year-old Mankins was the Pats’ first round draft pick, at No. 32 overall, in the 2005 draft. The burly guard out of Fresno State went through a bitter and public contract dispute in 2010 but was given a six-year deal worth $51 million in 2011.

Wright is a second-year tight end out of Rutgers and had 54 receptions for 571 yards and five touchdowns with the Bucs last season.
