WOODSTOCK, Ont. – The father of slain Woodstock, Ont., girl Tori Stafford is nearing the northern region of the province on his bike trip to raise funds for Child Find Ontario. Rodney Stafford embarked on the Kilometres for Kids trip Wednesday morning in Woodstock and has now reached the Algonquin Park area of Ontario.
On the first day of the trip, Stafford cycled 128 kilometres, arriving just south of Orangeville, Ont.
Stafford is travelling more than 3,000 kilometres to Edmonton, where he plans to release one purple balloon on a mountain his little girl once visited.
Stafford’s eight-year-old daughter Victoria disappeared in April after returning home from school, and two Woodstock residents have been charged with her murder.
Stafford says he hopes to pedal about 120 kilometres per day. (CIHR)
