A public process to find a new MBTA General Manager by December 7 will take place over the next several months, the MassDOT and T board of directors decided yesterday.
A three-person Preliminary Screening Committee consisting of former GM Rich Davey, and two MassDOT board members, will be tasked with developing a job description, soliciting resumes and posting the job opening for four weeks in various locations.
The committee will conduct interviews through October 28 and review resumes before recommending final candidates as Davey’s possible predecessor to the MBTA board.
The Board will interview the final candidates in open sessions and select a GM.
