Well, this time it was personal. After a boozed-up man allegedly
wrecked Dave Letterman’s box office Sunday, saying he didn’t remember
the incident or have anything against the late-night host, another man
took his anger out on the studio lobby early Thursday morning.
Police
said that Alvin Moore, 42, tried to break windows with a newspaper box
but could not get inside the Ed Sullivan Theatre. Moore told cops, “I
wanted the attention,” according to the New York Post, and was
reportedly angry at Letterman for not responding to his demo tapes.
He
was charged with criminal mischief, menacing and burglary.
