Second OC Transpo bus crash in two days injures one person

For the second time in two days, an OC Transpo bus was involved in a collision at the same downtown intersection Wednesday morning, injuring one person.

At 10:22 a.m., a minivan and an OC Transpo bus collided at the intersection of Albert and Kent Streets, said Ottawa Paramedic spokesman J.P. Trottier.

Paramedics treated one passenger on the bus, a 48-year-old male, for neck and knee injuries. They also assessed the driver of the minivan and another bus passenger, but they were released at the scene, Trottier said.

The driver of the bus was not injured.

Early Monday afternoon, a truck allegedly drove through a red light, hitting an articulated bus and injuring the drivers of both vehicles and five bus passengers.
