See PETA’s subliminal message inside Fenway Park

If you’ve been avoiding the lobster roll at Fenway Park and you don’t know why, it’s not your fault.

Blame PETA.

The sometimes crafty animal rights group said today that it sneaked a subliminal message inside America’s most beloved ballpark.

The group bought a commemorative brick that was offered as part of the park’s 100th anniversary celebration and had it engraved with “LEAD OUR BO SOX TO EARLY RUNS! LATE INNING BLASTS! EASY ROUTS! A TROPHY IN OUR NAME!”

When combined, the first letter of each word spells lobster liberation.

“Just as BoSox fans should be free to watch baseball games, lobsters should be allowed to pursue their own pleasures, free from the excruciating pain of being boiled alive,” the group said on its website.

The bricks were sold for either $250 or $475 depending on size.
