Fantasy basketball NBA stock Rajon Rondo Kyle Kuzma

This NBA stock report will be an article that comes your way weekly for the rest of the season, keeping you up to date with which players you can look to add/drop or trade/trade for from your season-long fantasy roster.

Here’s some players to keep an eye on this week:

Stock Up

Indiana Pacers wings — Victor Oladipo went down with a serious knee/quad injury on Wednesday that’s going to cost him the remainder of his season. While Thaddeus Young wound up having a big game against the Raptors, the production here is going to be split pretty evenly across the board. No one player stood out as a stud play when Oladipo missed time earlier in the season, but now that he’s out for the year, the backcourt will need to pick up some slack. Darren Collison, Corey Joseph and Tyreke Evans all come to mind as seeing their value increase the most.

Jahlil Okafor — In the first two games Anthony Davis missed, Okafor averaged 18.5 points and 10.0 rebounds. Nikola Mirotic is also dealing with a calf injury, so until the Pelicans frontcourt is fully healthy, Okafor has value.

Rajon Rondo — Rondo’s returning for his first action since Christmas day, and he’s being thrusted into a lineup that doesn’t have Lonzo Ball or LeBron James. That means a lot of ball handling and usage right away for Rondo.

Kenneth Faried — Houston signed Faried in wake of Clint Capela being ruled out 4-6 weeks with a thumb injury. With Nene unreliable, Faried is Houston’s best option to anchor the middle. He’s going to get minutes by default, which led to 12.0 points and 7.0 rebounds per game in his first two outings with the team.

Stock Down

Victor Oladipo — This is an obvious worth, but unless you’re in a dynasty league, there’s no reason to hold onto Dipo. The Pacers have confirmed his season’s over, so go ahead and hit the drop button and find a contributor for your squad.

James Harden — This one’s not so obvious, and you’d never look to trade Harden with the MVP season he’s having. However, he faces the Raptors on Friday night, and Chris Paul (hamstring) could play by the end of the weekend. The matchups are growing more difficult, and Harden’s usage is about to take a massive hit when CP3 returns. Harden still could be the best fantasy option, but he’s not going to continue playing at this historic pace.

Kyle Kuzma — Rondo’s back to takeover some ball handling, and it sounds like we’re not to far away from seeing LeBron James (groin) back out on the floor for game action. Kuzma’s assumed the alpha-dog role with LBJ sidelined, but once he returns, Kuz has to take a clear hit in value.

Enes Kanter — After Luke Kornet went down with an injury, the assumption was that Enes Kanter would jump into the starting lineup. Instead he got a DNP and essentially asked for a trade. The Knicks are actively looking to shop the center, so if you own him in fantasy, you’re hoping he finds a home quickly, before it’s time to cut ties.
