Student discounts don’t come bigger than this.
A major British Columbia developer is offering a $50,000 to $70,000 break on the final 10 suites available at a development near Simon Fraser University for that school’s students.
Alumni, faculty and staff are also being offered the deal to Altaire, a Polygon Homes development. Living there would make a commute to the SFU campus about as easy as taking a few steps.
“When we realized that we were approaching sell-out with only 10 suites left, we knew we should offer them to the people who would appreciate them most,” said Neil Chrystal, president and CEO of Polygon. Located high atop Burnaby Mountain, Altaire overlooks the Lower Mainland and is situated within walking distance of the numerous shops, services and restaurants of the UniverCity Highlands village.
Designed by architect Nigel Baldwin, the high-rise concrete and glass-infused building features a collection of two-bedroom residences. Suites have high ceilings, expansive floor-to-ceiling windows and oversized balconies that offer sweeping 360-degree panoramic views of the North Shore Mountains, Mount Baker, the gulf islands and beyond.
The landscaped terrace features a shared fire-pit and provides a location for social gatherings. A fully equipped onsite fitness centre with state-of-the-art equipment is also available for residents.
The development, which is just under 10 kilometres from Vancouver, has direct transit links to the SkyTrain and has easy access to the town centres of Coquitlam, Burnaby and Port Moody.
