Police have arrested a suspect who now faces assault and weapons charges stemming from a weekend machete attack outside a Queens restaurant.
Authorities have charged Guillermo Torres, 20, with three counts of assault and a weapon possession charge after he allegedly attacked three men with a machete, police reported.
Around 4:30 a.m. on Sunday, police said Torres got into an argument with three customers at the Cibao Bar and Restaurant at 104-22 Northern Blvd. He then left the restaurant but waited outside with a machete for the three men to leave.
When the trio departed, Torres allegedly slashed the victims repeatedly, causing serious injuries, authorities added.
The three victims, aged 19, 22 and 32, were all taken to area hospitals in stable condition, according to officials.
