Ottawa police are seeking two suspects after a 27-year-old man was shot in front of a high-rise apartment building Tuesday night.
The victim was sitting in his vehicle outside 2201 Riverside Dr. at about 10:30 p.m. when he was shot repeatedly in the lower extremities, police said. His injuries were not life-threatening and he has been released from hospital.
Investigators are seeking two male suspects of middle-eastern descent. Both were wearing white or light-coloured hoodies and dark pants, and were last seen leaving the scene in a silver or gold SUV heading west on Riverside Drive.
One tenant, who withhed his name, said he had heard two shots. While he has sometimes seen police called to a neighbouring building, he said, “This building here is safe.”
