Szoke perfect on his bike

The perfect season is complete for Jordan Szoke.

The 31-year-old from Brantford, Ont., won the final two races of the Parts Canada Superbike Championship season to end the year a perfect seven-for-seven in event wins.

The final two races took place yesterday and Saturday at Atlantic Motorsport Park in Shubenacadie before several thousand fans each day.

The perfect season by Szoke is the first in the circuit’s 30-year history.

“At the start of the year I thought we’d be able to put together a good challenge for the championship, but to do this is unbelievable,” Szoke said in a release.

“To do what I did is still shocking to me.”

Szoke had the pole for both races and led wire-to-wire. He completed yesterday’s 22-lap race in 25:08 for an average speed over 134 km/h.

Szoke finished ahead of runner-up Andrew Nelson of Kars, Ont., — both yesterday and on Saturday.

The top Nova Scotian yesterday was Andrew Dunlop of Truro, who finished eighth. Todd Scott of Bedford was 11th.
