Kate Hudson keeping her parenting cool
Kate Hudson says she’s aspiring to be like her own parents when it comes to raising her kids. “My parents allowed my brother and I to have our freedom,” she tells Elle magazine. “[We could] be ourselves and feel confident in our choices and make mistakes without too much judgment.” Hudson hopes she “can do as good of a job” as her mom, Goldie Hawn, who “never hands out unsolicited preachy words of wisdom,” she says. And despite having a newborn at home, Hudson isn’t slowing down. “I would never want to be with someone who complains and goes, ‘Oh, my god, my life is so crazy,’” she says. “If you make the best of it, it can be amazing.”
More good news for Viola Davis
It’s a big week for Viola Davis. Not only is she earning rave reviews for her role in “The Help,” but she and husband Julius Tennon are starting a family. “We’re about to adopt a baby,” Davis tells E! News. The baby will the couple’s first child together, while Tennon has two children from previous relationships.
