Janet Jackson is reportedly engaged to Qatari businessman and billionaire Wissam Al Mana — and has been for almost a year, according to Hollyscoop. Sources say the secret proposal happened last year, but Jackson was in the middle of a tour and wasn’t ready to go public with it yet. “Janet’s telling friends that an official engagement will come by summer’s end, and that she and Wissam will marry in late 2011,” says a source.
Lea ‘short stuff’ Michele
“Glee” star Lea Michele is the first to admit she doesn’t have the most conventional Hollywood look. “I’m 5-foot-3. I don’t look like a lot of other people, you know what I mean? I look like I’m 12,” the 25-year-old actress tells Harper’s Bazaar. And it’s not just her small statures that has been seen by others as a possible career impediment, she admits. “How many managers told me, ‘Get a nose job. You’re not pretty enough’? But I proved them wrong,” she says.
Winehouse was going to wed?
Amy Winehouse had lots of plans for the future when her life came to an end last month. Aside from her plans to adopt a young girl from St. Lucia, the tragic singer was reportedly planning to marry boyfriend Reg Traviss, according to the Sun. “Amy was adamant about sorting herself out. Reg’s proposal made her even more determined. She didn’t want to carry on the way she was,” a source says. “She wanted nothing more than to be his wife and to start a family with him. She wanted to get rid of her demons so badly.”
