The best dressed at the Academy of Country Music Awards

The stars did not disappoint with their country couture last night at the Academy of Country Music Awards.

Carrie Underwood sparkled in an Oscar de la Renta gown. The subtle gold and silver metal hues shimmered as she walked the red carpet, while the fringe showed she was in the spirit of the night.

Cassadee Pope looked sophisticated in a pleated red gown. The playful cut-outs show just a peek of skin, keeping her look young and fun without being too showy.

Legendary country singer Faith Hill stunned in an ethereal Yves Saint Laurent dress, which showed off her tiny frame. Later in the night, Hill took the stage with husband Tim McGraw to perform a duet of “Meanwhile Back at Mama’s.”

Jamie Lynn Spears made an appearance with new husband James Watson, walking the red carpet in a printed black, white and orange dress. This was Spears’ red carpet debut, proving she’s ready to step up her own music game and not just be known as Britney’s little sis.

Kellie Pickler looked like a princess in a lavender chiffon gown by Romona Keveza. The result was a grown-up prom look, which, hey, would only work at the ACM Awards.

Kimberly Perry of The Band Perry looked more rock ‘n’ roll than country in an embroidered black and nude gown. Her teased bun and fresh makeup gave her look the perfect amount of polish.

Sheryl Crow also opted for black over the usual reds and metal hues prominent at the ACM Awards. After walking the red carpet, she performed a rendition of “Hold On” with Dierks Bentley.

Taylor Swift traded in her usual chiffon gowns for a crop top and maxi skirt. Switching things up paid off; this is the least boring she’s looked on the red carpet in a while. She still had her hair a good old country tease, but her black and white ensemble tones down her look, giving it a fresh, modern twist.
