Twice a year, Javits Center in New York is packed with the latest and greatest in lamps, rugs, salad bowls and more as The New York International Gift Fair rolls into town. The show — one of the largest of its kind with 2,800 exhibitors from around the world —features the best in home decor. We take a look at the latest trends being offered up this season.
1: Letters and numbers
Letters and numbers showed up everywhere — from traditional to modern items — and that’s were what buyers flocked to. We spotted examples on French linen pillows, tote bags and hand-blocked artwork. Primitives by Kathy pillow, $17, and box sign, $27,
2: Hicks 1960s
Geometric patterns and herringbone, inspired by ’60s design king David Hicks, seemed to be enjoying a revival. Bright colors helped update the famous prints on wallpaper, rugs, pillows and furnishings.

3: Making big weaves
Old-time craft makes a comeback as several designers constructed items using weave techniques in materials such as wicker, knit and even rubber.
