‘The Hunger Games’ has a trailer now, too

The most hotly-anticipated trailer for the most most hotly-anticipated film of next year is out now. The Lionsgate film adaptation of the first book in the beloved Suzanne Collins “Hunger Games” trilogy was introduced today on “Good Morning America” by Josh Hutcherson, the very lucky actor plucked to play Peeta Mellark. (Note, that is how big this movie is: The trailer of the film gets debuted on a major morning news show, which, honestly, should be considered a big get for “Good Morning America.)

What is so smart about the trailer is that it should entice the rabid fan base of the series and novices alike. Those who don’t know anything about the bestselling Young Adult books will recognize the all-star cast while fans will get special pleasure in seeing those famous names bring their beloved characters to light. You’ll see Elizabeth Banks as Effie Trinket, Woody Harrelson as the drunk Haymitch, Lenny Kravitz as the stylist Cinna and, of course, Jennifer Lawrence, as the tough-as-nails heroine Katniss Evergreen.
