Harpoon Brewery now has an outdoor ‘Keg Yard’

Harpoon

Boston has a ton of great places to drink outdoors, and now you can add Harpoon Brewery to the list.

The Seaport staple recently unveiled its newest attraction, a bare bones beer garden dubbed the “Keg Yard.” Located right outside the brewery’s beer hall, local IPA lovers will be able to check out the space, weather permitting, during weekends all summer long through October.

BIG NEWS! We’ve officially opened our Keg Yard and you’re invited! Join us for fun in the sun every Sat & Sun from 11am-7pm throughout the summer! #lovebeerlovelife #harpoonkegyard

Since the “Keg Yard” is an active production area during the week,  there won’t be too many ammenities on hand when it’s set up on Saturdays and Sundays. However, there will be a collection of tables and folding chairs to lounge in, and of course, plenty of kegs.

Harpoon will have six types of beers on tap at the outdoor pop-up experience, including Harpoon IPA, Camp Wannamango, UFO White, UFO Huckleberry, Harpoon Cider, as well as a rotating tap that may feature the House Golden. Although you won’t have to step foot inside the establishment to grab a glass – or one of Harpoon’s famous, warm pretzels for that matter – you will need to enter the beer hall in order to purchase tickets to the brewery tour or items from the gift shop.

Besides the food and brews, Harpoon will also have an enormous Jenga set assembled at the “Keg Yard” for attendees to play with as they sip under the summer sun. You can even learn how to make this massive creation yourself with Harpoon’s nifty DIY video.

If you go:

Through October, Saturdays and Sundays, 11 a.m. – 7 p.m., “Keg Yard” at Harpoon Brewery, 306 Northern Ave., Boston, harpoonbrewery.com
