Three in court after pot bust

Three Ottawa residents appeared in court Tuesday after police seized $250,000 worth of marijuana during a drug warrant earlier this week.

Acting on information that a resident in the 100 block of Lenore Place was in possession of a large quantity drugs, police executed a warrant Monday afternoon.

Police arrested three individuals in a residence and seized approximately 37 pounds of cannabis-marijuana with a street value of $250,000, along with Canadian currency.

Mohamed Odawa, 22 and Mahamoud Djilani, 27, each face two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking. They also face charges including possession of proceeds obtained by crime

A 16-year-old female also faces charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of proceeds of crime and breach of probation.
