Three people are dead and one is in critical condition after a head-on collision on Highway 5 north of Kamloops that took place at 9:30 a.m. yesterday.
The crash involved a semi and an SUV, which collided just two kilometres from Heffley Creek, according to RCMP Cpl. Annie Linteau.
The SUV was crushed, leaving the semi and its driver unharmed.
RCMP, traffic services and a traffic analyst have yet to determine the cause of the collision.
Police shut down the highway for several hours, forcing traffic to take a detour.
