Three sent to hospital after mugging

Police were busy early yesterday dealing with two muggings.

The first happened at 12:39 a.m. on Brunswick Street as police say a man and a woman were robbed by a group of three people, one of which indicated they had a gun. The male victim was punched in the face and the female victim had cash stolen.

The three suspects, two men and one woman, were later found and charged with robbery.

Forty minutes later, police say two male suspects robbed a group of four people on Main Street in Dartmouth, sending three to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The suspect struck three victims with an undisclosed object and robbed everyone of their money and cell phones. The suspects are described as white and about 19 years of age.
