Another class-action lawsuit is being filed against Ticketmaster Entertainment Inc., this time based on the fees it tacks onto the final ticket price.
The $250-million suit claims that Ticketmaster’s terms of use state that it abides by Ontario law.
In a release, the firm behind the action says Ontario law precludes the selling of tickets for more than the price at which they were first issued.
Lawyer Jay Strosberg says the law in Ontario is very clear, and he’s hopeful the court will enforce the legislation.
Consumers in every province and territory except Ontario can join the action.
