Toronto streets abuzz

Four days and counting before the 34th annual Toronto International Film Festival rolls up the red carpet on another year. While there are still hundreds of films to take in, the party circuit is slowly winding down to a precious few.

Women in Film and Television (WIFT), get into festival party fun with an evening soirée at the Bata Shoe Museum on Bloor Street. Expect the 300-plus guest list to include industry movers and shakers like Cairo Time director Ruba Nadda and acclaimed Canadian director Patricia Rozema. Party runs from 7 p.m.-10 p.m.

Mongrel Media finishes off its list of premiere parties with an after-screening gathering for the film Cooking with Stella at Mildred’s Temple Kitchen in Liberty Village. Starts at 10 p.m.
