Great news for the many Tracy Morgan fans of the world: The comedian is scheduled to host “Saturday Night Live” this fall on Oct. 17. After the terrible car accident he was in back in 2014, it seemed possible Morgan might never return to TV — as of this June, he still wasn’t ready to perform. He didn’t make the special 40th anniversary episode of “SNL” earlier this year, either. But he’s now been officially announced as a host for the show this fall, after Miley Cyrus hosts the premiere on Oct. 3 and Amy Schumer hosts on Oct. 10. And while we’re sure both of those ladies will be great hosts, it seems like a good sign that Morgan is feeling ready to get back out there. We predict you may want to get the tissues ready for his opening monologue, though, because we’re guessing it’s going to get a little dusty in the room around then.
