Troini returns to the Herd as an assistant coach

Jason Troini is returning to the Halifax Mooseheads to become an assistant coach with the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League team.

Troini, a forward with the Mooseheads from 1996 to 2000, was coaching the Nova Scotia Major Midget Hockey League’s Dartmouth Subways this season. Troini will join head coach Cam Russell and current assistants Chris Donnelly and Jeff MacLeod.

Troini will be replaced as Subways head coach by Brad Crossley, who is no stranger to the position. Crossley coached the Subways for all but one season from 1992 to 2007.

In other Mooseheads news, the team has made a change in goaltending coaches. Patrick Dallaire is now out, and his replacement is Brad MacCharles.
