Trouser envy at J.Crew

By the time autumn rolls around, you may well be burnt out on all of summer’s sweeping skirts and dresses. Cue J.Crew’s fall ’11 collection, which is filled with covetable trousers for men and women that will make you go, “maxi who?” We love how the women’s line is filled with every silhouette you could possibly want in a mix of colors and prints that will keep you excited, even when the weather turns gray.

We caught up with J.Crew’s head of women’s design, Marissa Webb, after the brand’s excellent fall ’11 presentation to see what she’s lusting after right now.

1 I’m getting my sun fix by way of color. Not just in clothes and accessories, but other items that surround me on a daily basis. I’m in the process of moving to our new home and thinking about what accent color I want [there] – I’m thinking a rich yellow.

2 The perfect khaki trench coat. It’s the perfect transitional item. I might just have to wait for ours, coming in August. I also love all the colored bottoms and am snatching up every color I see.
