TV picks: Monday, Oct. 9

“Gossip Girl”

DRAMA. The sixth and final seasons opens with the Upper East Side crew searching for Serena, who has gone off the grid. Maybe she’s just hiding from the scandalous new book Dan has written.

Season premiere, 9 p.m., The CW

“Titanic: Blood and Steel”

DRAMA. The history of the Titanic — everything that happened before that nasty iceberg business — is documented in this 12-part miniseries focusing on the building of the doomed ship. Chris Noth plays the “unsinkable” liner’s financier J.P. Morgan, with Neve Campbell and Derek Jacobi also starring.

Miniseries premiere, 8 p.m., Encore

DRAMA. Carly Rae Jepsen guest stars. If she doesn’t ask one of the guys to call her, maybe, we will be severely disappointed.

Season premiere, 8 p.m., The CW

“The Voice”

REALITY. The battle rounds begin and the guest mentors show up: Christina Aguilera is joined by Billie Joe Armstrong, Adam Levine teams with Mary J. Blige, CeeLo Green gets Rob Thomas on his side, and Blake Shelton taps the talents of Michael Buble.

8 p.m., NBC
