Twitter has unveiled its new website layout, which should look familiar to users of another social network.

The revamped interface has been introduced initially through a few notable accounts, including that of first lady Michelle Obama (@FLOTUS). Somewhat reminiscent of Facebook’s profile page, the new layout will soon be seen on all Twitter accounts.

The new interface stands out for its wide customizable header, displayed behind a larger profile picture than the one in the old layout.

The other major update is the division of the page into three columns. The user’s profile information and a list of shared followers are found to the left, while current worldwide trends and suggestions of who to follow are listed on the right.

There is now the option of filtering a user’s tweets to see only responses to other messages, or only tweets including a photo or video.

For the time being, the new layout can be seen on select accounts, including those of boxerFloyd Mayweatherand actorChanning Tatum. Twitter plans to roll out the new interface to all subscribers over the coming weeks.
