LONDON (Reuters) – British Prime Minister Boris Johnson on Monday said that the European Union had not taken the “revolver” off the table in talks over post-Brexit relations, which he said was hindering negotiations over a free-trade deal.

Johnson accused the EU of threatening Britain by saying they could block British exports to Northern Ireland as he introduced in parliament the Internal Market Bill, which breaks the Brexit divorce treaty.

“The EU has not taken that particular revolver off the table, and I hope that they will do so, and we can reach a Canada-style free trade agreement,” he said.
