A video of a BBC broadcaster has gone viral after he went on air clutching a pack of paper instead of his iPad.
Simon McCoy accidentally picked up a refill pack of A4 paper before going on camera during a Wednesday broadcast. McCoy carried on with the report with the paper clearly visible in his hands.
A BBC spokesperson later released this statement:
“This morning as Simon McCoy was preparing to introduce this story, instead of picking up his tablet to hold as he went to air, he mistakenly picked up a ream of paper that was sitting next to it.
“In the rush of live news, he didn’t have an opportunity to swap the items, so simply went with it.”
Apparently, this isn’t McCoy’s first on-air blunder. He has been caught sleeping on camera and, more recently, he was noted for his very #t=13″>honest coverage of the British royal baby.
