Five people were hurt this morning when a PATH station escalator suddenly started going backwards.
Port Authority spokesman Ron Marsico told Metro three people were taken
to the hospital, but none of the five people injured had life-threatening injuries.
Video of the incident shows the Exchange Place escalator, which had been going up, starting to go down as people were trying to travel up and out of the station.
Many people tried to walk faster to keep up with the escalator or jumped off it to another one running parallel in the correct direction.
