All it took to tell something big was up with the Minnesota Vikings yesterday was a visit to the team’s website.
By last evening, the team had a front page featuring a photo of Randy Moss in his old purple jersey, the message “Welcome Back 84” and — naturally — a place to go to buy new Moss shirts.
The All-Pro wideout’s first stint in Minnesota didn’t end terribly well. But the scuffling team sure seems happy to have?Randy Moss back in the fold.
“I think he’s a good player,” coach Brad Childress said at a news conference. “I think his mind’s right, and I think he’s an A competitor.”
The coach didn’t seem worried about potential locker-room distractions.
“Good players are generally accepted very well in the locker room,” he said. “There are six or seven guys that played here with him. They’re kind of tickled to death.”
