WATCH: Tom Brady pokes fun at Deflategate in Foot Locker ad

Tom Brady put his sense of humor about Deflategate on display in a new ad for Foot Locker this week.

The commercial shows two guys walking intoa diner wondering how the retailer’s annual “Week of Greatness” sneaker sale continues to get better every year. Brady interjects himself into their conversation, telling them they have an “unfortunate mindset.”

“Just because something’s great year after year doesn’t mean anything’s going on,” he says as he begins to get fired up. “Why can’t some things just be great?”

One of the shocked men reply that it was “just a question.”

“Starts with questions and then questions turn into assumptions and then assumptions turn into — vacations,” Brady retorts. “Why would you punish the ‘Week of Greatness’ for something that never even happened?” Brady then stands and leaves the restaurant in a huff.

The Patriots quarterback, of course, was making reference to his four-game suspension earlier this season for the Deflategate scandal. An NFL investigation found Brady was aware his team used deflated footballs in the AFC Championship in January 2015, something he has denied.

“I thought it was just kind of a funny thing,” Brady told reporters earlier this week. “I had a lot of free time on my hands at the beginning of the year, so I had to find ways to fill it.”

Hmm, do we smell a post-Patriots career in acting, Tom?
