Watch Wilco perform in Central Park [VIDEO]

Hats off to those who braved Friday’s rain and went to Central Park to watch Wilco in concert.

According to the folks over at Gothamist, Rumsey Playfield almost at capacity with Wilco fans, there to see the band perform a 24-song set.

With the bands latest album, ‘The Whole Love,’ slated for release this week (two more days!) the excitement in the air was palpable.

Even though the new music is out in just a few days, Wilco sure knows how to please the crowd.

The rockers opted for fan favorites. After all, people were soaking wet for the chance to hear their much-loved musicians perform. The least Wilco could do was perform classics like “Jesus, etc..” “Impossible Germany” and “I Got You” – that’s not asking for too much is it now?

At one point Jeff Tweedy called Manhattan “adorbs.” Right back at you, Tweedy. For lack of a better word, your cover of the Black Eyed Peas’ “My Humps,” was pretty “adorbs.”

For those of you too busy avoiding Friday’s rain, click here to view Wilco’s hour-long performance on Live on Letterman, from the comfort of your (dry) couch.
