Wedded bliss

As if the holidays weren’t enough drama, December is known for having a higher engagement rate than any other time of the year. For all those new ring-finger bling-toting fiancees wondering what to do next, help is at hand. The Boston Bridal Lounge opened on Newbury Street this month, offering one-stop stress-free wedding planning.

“We’re inviting couples to see their wedding as a blank canvas and allow us to inspire them and look at all the options,” says co-founder Eleni Granas.

Granas and her business partner, Kerri Esposito Bruneau, met while working at Wedding Style magazine and decided to pool their professional and personal wedding experiences to create this concierge-style service.

“Everything from cake designers to photographers to linens. You name it, anything couples need to incorporate into their wedding day, they can find it here,” says Esposito Bruneau.

That goes for same sex ones, too.

“There’s literally something for everybody’s taste and budget here,” she adds.

The lounge, which is beautifully decorated with samples that are available for hire for the big day, is part showroom and part research library packed full of binders filled with different services.

“It’s an inspirational setting that will change seasonally,” says Granas.

Above all perhaps, couples can have confidence that vendors have been carefully vetted, thus averting wedding day horror stories.

“Being able to walk into a place that has everything under one roof and knowing that services have been carefully researched,” says Esposito Bruneau, “means they can sit back and have fun with the process.”

Couples club

Unlike many wedding services, The Boston Bridal Lounge is open five days a week, not by appointment. There are no upfront fees, though there is an optional Couples Club with a membership charge of $250, which offers discounts at select retailers and businesses.
